THE FAITH
SYNOPSIS
In the dark of night, Nina Batten fled her home country of Midastia to escape the overbearing influence of the Faith, the most powerful religious institution in the world, and a powerful man in its ranks. During her harrowing escape, she is rescued by Raduk, a mysterious Abaraen who is willing to assist her in her journey if she will teach him more about the Faith. During their discussions about belief and culture, Nina finds herself fighting her growing love for Raduk and her lifelong devotion to her deity. But her release from the Faith is short-lived, as Damien, a high-ranking Deacon of the Faith and Nina's childhood friend, uses his vast political power to find Nina and demand her return to Midastia. Upon her return, she is thrown further into the corruption within the Faith's ranks, and must do her part to negotiate for the safety of the man she loves while she struggles to reclaim her own future.
