• Athena's Tarot Reading: The tarot reading in Chapter 2 is not inaccurate in its foreboding, but it does not apply to the situation with Athena and V in the way that she believes. This will be explored as the series continues.
• Doc's Medical Abilities: There are many instances where Doc combines both his traditional training in medicine with his psychic abilities. This includes listening to the newborn's heart rate with his psychic abilities in Chapter 4, but needing to use a physical exam in Chapter 6 to diagnose Athena's cracked ribs despite his previous psychic examination. In keeping with the "privacy rule" Doc tries everything he can to use his traditional training before using his abilities on anyone under his care.
• Was Cassie Let Go on Purpose?: For any suspicious readers who think that the Guild let Cassie go so they could try to infiltrate Roadside Paradise, no, they did not let her go on purpose. She did escape entirely of her own accord and put the Guild in a very difficult position that Donovan had to handle in person (hence his appearance in Chapter 14).
• Doc's Mind Control: There are a few instances of Doc using "mind control" in this book. During the later example in Chapter 16, had Doc not been stopped from harming those who invaded the grounds, he would then be subject to possible punishment from V—even the troupe cannot escape karma if V decides to correct the aura wounds.
